Once the funeral or memorial is finished, friends head home and the calendar opens up again — but the administrative work often starts then. CPP survivor benefits, government notifications, bank and insurance updates, and questions about utilities or titles can pile up while you are still adjusting.

Cochrane Country Funeral Home’s Family Follow-Up program is built for that stretch. We stay in contact with Cochrane, Bragg Creek, Springbank, Cremona, Sundre, Canmore, and greater Calgary families to sort the practical next steps so you are not left guessing alone.

What Family Follow-Up covers

We help you understand and move through common aftercare tasks: Canada Pension Plan benefit applications, private pension and employer questions, banking updates, and guidance on items such as utility and title changes. Leaving these untouched can create delays that affect finances later.

This is hands-on local support, not a generic checklist. We are not legal advisors, yet walking through these steps with someone who knows the foothills process usually saves time and reduces stress.

Family Follow-Up is included with our service packages — so when the gathering ends, the care does not.
